Proteryx Terms of Service plain-language notice
Proteryx is a software platform for trading workflow management. It can help users connect tools, route orders, manage accounts, copy trades, attach order logic, and monitor activity. However, Proteryx is not a broker, financial advisor, investment advisor, prop firm, exchange, data provider, or signal provider.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and Proteryx, referred to in these terms as “Proteryx,” “we,” “us,” or “our.” The words “you,” “your,” and “user” refer to anyone who accesses or uses our website, application, accounts, tools, content, support, integrations, or services.
By using Proteryx, creating an account, starting a free trial, entering a promotional code, paying for a subscription, connecting a broker, linking an account, sending an alert, routing an order, or accessing any service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Proteryx.
2. What Proteryx provides
Proteryx provides web-based software tools for futures traders and other eligible users who want to organize trading workflows. The service may include broker connection workflows, TradingView alert workflows, copy trading tools, account routing, order entry tools, bracket-style settings, position views, order views, account summaries, Trade Desk tools, onboarding resources, support resources, and related functionality.
2.1 Software platform only
Proteryx is software. It does not open brokerage accounts, custody funds, clear trades, hold customer capital, guarantee fills, approve prop firm rules, provide exchange access directly, or control third-party accounts outside the tools and permissions that you configure.
2.2 Feature changes
Features, integrations, pricing, supported brokers, supported platforms, account limits, technical requirements, and workflows may change at any time. We may add, remove, suspend, modify, or restrict access to any feature when needed for security, maintenance, compliance, performance, product direction, or business reasons.
3. No financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice
Proteryx does not provide financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, tax advice, legal advice, research, recommendations, signals, alerts, market calls, trade ideas, account management services, or discretionary trading services.
Any order, alert, strategy, automation, account route, trade copy setting, symbol, quantity, stop, target, bracket setting, or trading action used through Proteryx is selected, created, configured, authorized, and controlled by you.
No recommendation
Nothing on Proteryx should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, short, trade, copy, automate, or route any financial product.
4. Trading risk and user responsibility
Trading futures, options, securities, currencies, digital assets, or any other financial product involves substantial risk. You may lose money, including all capital in an account. During fast markets, volatility, gaps, news events, connection delays, exchange outages, liquidity changes, slippage, rejected orders, data issues, and broker issues can affect execution.
You are solely responsible for your trading decisions, account settings, order settings, automation settings, risk controls, position sizing, broker selection, data subscriptions, prop firm rule compliance, tax obligations, and legal obligations.
4.1 No guarantee of results
Proteryx does not guarantee profits, returns, funded account success, prop firm payouts, execution quality, fill prices, strategy performance, account safety, trading consistency, rule compliance, or loss prevention.
4.2 Test before live use
You should test any workflow in a simulated, demo, or low-risk environment before using it live. Also, you should confirm every broker connection, symbol, account route, contract month, order type, quantity, time in force, take profit, stop loss, and alert message before live execution.
5. Account registration and security
You may need an account to use Proteryx. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, checkout, onboarding, support requests, and broker connection workflows.
5.1 Account security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, devices, API keys, broker credentials, account permissions, two-factor authentication, and connected services secure. You must notify us if you believe your Proteryx account or any connected account has been accessed without authorization.
5.2 Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these terms. You must also be permitted to trade, use the relevant broker or platform, and access the relevant markets under the laws, rules, and restrictions that apply to you.
6. Subscriptions, trials, billing, and cancellations
Proteryx may offer free trials, promotional codes, weekly plans, monthly plans, multi-month plans, annual plans, long-term plans, or other paid access options. Plan availability, pricing, features, trial length, promotional rules, and billing terms may change over time.
6.1 Free trials and promotional codes
If a free trial or promotional code is available, it may be limited to eligible users, specific plans, specific time periods, or specific checkout conditions. We may modify, suspend, or end any trial or promotion at any time.
6.2 Renewals and billing provider
Paid subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled according to the checkout or billing provider settings. Payment processing may be handled by a third-party provider. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable charges, taxes, and renewal payments shown during checkout.
6.3 Refunds
Unless a refund is required by law or expressly stated at checkout, payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe a billing error occurred, contact us promptly through our support or contact page.
6.4 Price changes
We may change prices, plan names, included features, and billing terms. If required, we will provide notice according to applicable law or the billing provider process.
7. Automation, alerts, copy trading, and order routing
Proteryx may allow users to connect alerts, configure automation, copy trades, route orders, place orders, use bracket-style logic, monitor positions, and manage selected accounts. These tools can create real trading activity when connected to live accounts.
7.1 You control the workflow
You are responsible for each alert, strategy condition, webhook, symbol mapping, order side, quantity, account route, contract selection, take profit, stop loss, time in force, copy trading setting, and automation setting.
7.2 Execution may fail or differ
Orders may be delayed, rejected, duplicated, missed, partially filled, filled at different prices, canceled, or affected by third-party systems. Market conditions, internet connectivity, broker systems, exchange rules, API limits, data issues, user settings, and prop firm restrictions can affect results.
7.3 Monitoring is required
You must monitor your accounts, orders, positions, risk, working orders, account balances, alerts, and broker status. You should not assume any automation workflow is error-free, always available, or suitable for unattended trading.
8. Third-party brokers, platforms, prop firms, and data providers
Proteryx may interoperate with third-party services, including brokers, trading platforms, alert platforms, charting tools, data providers, exchanges, payment processors, prop firms, and other software providers. These companies are independent from Proteryx.
Your use of any third-party service is governed by that third party’s own terms, fees, policies, data rules, technical limits, account rules, and risk disclosures. Proteryx is not responsible for third-party services, outages, fees, restrictions, rule changes, rejected orders, execution quality, account actions, or decisions made by third parties.
8.1 No endorsement or affiliation
References to third-party names, brokers, platforms, exchanges, tools, or prop firms are provided for compatibility, integration, informational, or user workflow purposes. Unless we clearly state otherwise, those references do not mean that Proteryx is endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or approved by those third parties.
9. Acceptable use
You agree to use Proteryx only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not misuse the platform, interfere with service operation, or attempt to access systems without authorization.
- You must not use Proteryx to violate any law, regulation, exchange rule, broker rule, prop firm rule, or third-party agreement.
- You must not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, attack, copy, resell, or bypass security controls on Proteryx.
- You must not use another person’s account, credentials, API keys, broker connection, or payment method without permission.
- You must not upload or transmit malware, harmful code, false data, unauthorized credentials, or content that infringes another party’s rights.
- You must not represent that Proteryx guarantees trading results, prop firm outcomes, account approvals, payouts, or financial performance.
10. Data, privacy, and communications
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Proteryx, you agree that we may collect, process, store, and use information as described in that policy and as needed to provide the service.
10.1 Platform data
Proteryx may process account identifiers, connected service information, order-related data, workflow settings, alerts, logs, usage data, support messages, billing status, and technical information. This data helps us provide the service, troubleshoot issues, improve security, support users, and maintain platform reliability.
10.2 Communications
We may contact you about your account, subscription, security, support requests, service updates, feature changes, legal notices, and platform-related information. Marketing messages may include unsubscribe options where required.
11. Intellectual property
Proteryx, including its website, application, interface, design, content, code, workflows, branding, logos, documentation, graphics, and related materials, is owned by Proteryx or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, rent, sublicense, or create competing products based on Proteryx materials unless we give written permission.
11.1 Feedback
If you send ideas, requests, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you allow Proteryx to use them without restriction or payment. This helps us improve the platform.
12. Availability, maintenance, and support
We work to keep Proteryx available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, continuous broker connectivity, continuous market data access, or continuous third-party API access.
Service interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, internet issues, third-party outages, exchange issues, broker systems, cloud provider issues, security events, technical failures, or events outside our control.
12.1 Support
Support may be provided through the website, email, chat, documentation, community channels, or other methods we choose. Support availability, response times, and scope may vary by plan, workload, issue type, and business hours.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Proteryx if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for the platform, misused the service, failed to pay, violated third-party rules, created security concerns, or used the service in a way that could harm Proteryx, other users, or third parties.
You may stop using Proteryx at any time. If you have an active paid subscription, cancellation and billing settings depend on the checkout or billing provider process.
14. Disclaimers
Proteryx is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.
We do not warrant that Proteryx will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every broker or platform, suitable for your trading strategy, or free from data errors, order errors, delays, outages, or third-party issues.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Proteryx and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, trading losses, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, account loss, prop firm rule violations, missed trades, duplicate trades, rejected orders, execution differences, or business interruption.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Proteryx will not exceed the amount you paid to Proteryx for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars if you did not pay for the service during that period.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Proteryx and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your trading activity, your account settings, your automation settings, your violation of these terms, your violation of third-party rules, or your violation of any law or rights of another party.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute related to these terms or Proteryx will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless a different venue is required by applicable law.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we update them, we may revise the “Last updated” date, post the updated terms on this page, or provide notice through the website, app, email, or other reasonable method.
Your continued use of Proteryx after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
